Facilities for Shraddha
In todays scenario out of ignorance or preoccupation, many people consider Shradham as an unscientific and baseless ritual. Some even feel that instead of doing shradha rituals for ancestors, it is better to use that money for providing food to poor people or giving donations to schools. This is similar to saying that it is good to offer food to the needy or giving donation to a school, instead of performing the karma. Performing shradham is a part of dharmacharanam, i.e. following Dharma according to Sanathna Dharma. When Lord Sree Ram heard the news of His father’s death, He performed shradham for him with minimum amenites, although he was in jungle (Vanavasam) at the time.
OBJECTIVES OF PERFORMING SHRADDHA
Satisfying the wishes and desires of the souls of the deceased ancestors of one’s family who are trapped in the negative regions due to unfulfilled desires. This also helps in providing help for ones further progress and removes obstacles like job, Finance, Marriage, etc.
It’s also observed that some peoples souls get stuck in obvilion due to their deeds and it directly impacts their family and near and dear ones.
Sri Sankara Mattham provides the facility to enable people who are not in a position to perform Shraddham at their residences. The Mattham has a facility for performing two Shraddham in a day and a nominal charge is collected from the public. Details for the same can be obtained from the Mattham office.
