BRAHMA (BRAHMANA) BHOJANAM

The significance of Brahma Bhojanam or Brahmana Bhojanam is extensively covered in Taittiriya Upanishad. It says “Annam Brahmeti Vyajanath” i.e. food is considered as “Brahman” the “Supreme” or the “Ultimate”.

Offering Brahma Bhojanam helps the donor to reach the ultimate goal of “Liberation”.

The Mattham has a scheme of arranging Brahma Bhojanam in which the Priests (Vedic Brahmins) or Veda Purushas are fed, and this is considered a great virtue or “Punya Karma”. As a part of this activity, “Annam” is also given to “Cow” daily after it is offered to God, as “Neivedyam”.

An amount of Rs. 1000/- has been fixed for the Brahma Bhojanam. Those devotees desirous of contributing can sponsor a day of their choice and register their name in advance.

Permanent donations can be made by keeping a Corpus of Rs. 30,000/- for lifetime. More details can be had from the Manager.
